The Uniontown YMCA daycare is now taking registration for summer and fall sessions.

Pre-school curriculum to prepare children for kindergarten is available September-May with three and two days programs available.

Before and after school care is also available for youth up to 12 years of age. Transportation from participating schools is available. Payments can be made using VISA, Mastercard, Discover, CCIS, Cash and Checks. Space is very limited, please enroll early.

PHILOSOPHY

The Uniontown Area YMCA has designed the 'Y' Kids Learning Center according to the YMCA's philosophy of the development of spirit, mind, and body. The children participate in a combination of structured and nonstructured activivites. Free swimming lessons and activities in Spanish are also part of the weekly schedule.

'Y' Kids learning Center helps children grow personally, clarify values, improve personal and family relationships, appreciate diversity, become better leaders and supporters, develop specific skills and have fun!

OUR APPROACH

Our approach to Pre-school education is based on discovery learning. The students will learn through hands-on activities by exploring our diverse learning centers.

• The Y'Kids Learning Center is licensed by the Department of Public Welfare, a participant in Keystone Stars, and serve meals under the guidance of the Child and Adult Food Program.

Monday through Friday: 6:30AM-6:00PM for children ages 2-12.

Holidays
Closed for the following public holidays:
Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, and July 4th.
