YMCA Child Development Mission

Your child deserves the best care when you are not there and the YMCA supports your efforts to nurture your child's healthy develop- ment. We follow a quality checklist provided by the YMCA of the USA. This checklist represents the highest standards from across the country and exceed the state licensing standards.

Here at the YMCA our staff 's first priority is the care, safety and happiness of your children. You can have peace of mind while work- ing to help your family succeed knowing your children are safe, learning and having fun.

May 1, 2012 - Summer care enrollment begins for children 6 wks through pre K!

August 1, 2012 - Pre-school and After-school enrollment begins for ages 2 -12 years of age!

Childcare Hours of Operation:

Monday - Friday / 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

 

Childcare Fees

Registration Fee $25 per child. Annual Preschool Supply Fee $50 per child (Preschool available September-May only)

The Y’Kids program has a 2 day per week minimum enrollment requirement.

Preschool Celebrations! Every May our preschoolers end the year by demonstrating their skills and singing songs to their parents!

Pre K graduates end their program dressed in cap and gown to receive their Certificate of Acheivement!

After School Care (Grades K-5)

Y Staff provide a safe and fun atmosphere for families who require after school care for their children during the school year.

Care is provided at the Uniontown Area YMCA (many area schools such as St. Johns, Chestnut Ridge, LH Middle, Hutchinson and Ben Franklin provide transportation to bus stops at or near the Y).

$25 registration fee; $50 per week for Members; $55 per week for Potential Members

YMCA School Release Days (SRD)/School Closings

Available 7:00am-6:00pm (except holidays) Our goal is to provide care for those families who require our services for the days school is not in opera- tion. Call the Y to verify that service is available. We provide the children with a day of fun activities.

SRD registered participants Members: $15/day; Non-Members: $20/day (in addition to weekly fee paid)

Fees for children not enrolled in the weekly program but registered as an SRD participant ($25 registration fee)

Members $25/day; Non-Members $30/day, Payment is due prior to service and you must notify Childcare Director prior to drop off.

YMCA Summer Camp Program

Available 7:00 am-6:00 pm during the Full weeks off for Summer break (most school districts). Ages Completed Kindergarten to 8th grade! Fees: $25 per child registration / Members: $85 week / Potential Members: $95 week, Payment is due prior to service. (multiple family discounts may apply) Your child will experience a fun filled day from sports, arts & crafts, swimming, drama, large & small group games.

Lunch is provided by State subsidized food program. Field trips will be available at a small additional charge for weeks 2 through 9!

Hours of Operation

Monday through Friday: 6:30AM-6:00PM for children ages 2-12.

Holidays
Closed for the following public holidays:
Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, and July 4th.

Activities
Every child participates in a combination of structured and non-structured activity time. An integrated curriculum including art, science, math, languages (Spanish, French, Italian) and physical fitness will best promote the child's development.

Emergency Closings
In the event of snow or other weather conditions, which would prohibit the normal operation of classes, please listen to WMBS.
