YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

The Uniontown Area YMCA offers a variety of youth sports and activitIes throughout the year. Our program’s purpose is to give all children the opporTunity to learn, play and fall in love with sports and being active.

Summer Day Camp is a great opportunity for kids to get daily meals, swim, go on field trips, explore weekly themes and have outdoor fun.

Child Watch is a safe, video-monitored place for parents to drop off their children so they can exercise and enjoy the facility. It is free for member parents and guardians of member children. Potential members pay $5.00 per hour.

HEALTH AND FITNESS

Our Group Exercise classes are designed to energize, motivate, and inspire members of all fitness levels. From strength and cardio to flexibility and mind-body workouts, our certified instructors create a welcoming environment where participants can stay active while building healthy connections within the community. Whether you are just getting started or looking to challenge yourself, there is a class for everyone at the Uniontown YMCA.

The Uniontown YMCA Fitness Center provides members with access to a wide variety of modern cardio and strength training equipment in a clean and supportive environment. Whether your goals include improving endurance, building strength, losing weight, or maintaining overall wellness, our facility is designed to help you succeed. Members of all experience levels are encouraged to work at their own pace while enjoying a positive and motivating atmosphere.

Our Indoor Cycling Studio offers an exciting, high-energy workout experience that combines music, motivation, and cardiovascular training into every session. Led by enthusiastic instructors, these classes are designed to improve endurance, burn calories, and build strength while providing a fun and encouraging group atmosphere. Riders of all fitness levels can adjust the intensity to match their personal goals and comfort level.

The Uniontown YMCA Personal Training program provides individualized fitness guidance tailored to your personal goals and abilities. Our certified personal trainers work one-on-one with members to create customized workout plans, provide accountability, and help build confidence in the gym. Whether you are new to exercise or looking to take your training to the next level, our trainers are here to support your wellness journey every step of the way.

Pickle Ball at the Uniontown YMCA is a fun and social activity that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong into an exciting game for all ages. Whether you are a beginner learning the basics or an experienced player looking for friendly competition, our programs offer a welcoming environment to stay active and connect with others. Pickle Ball is a great way to improve coordination, fitness, and community involvement while enjoying the game.

Our Senior Programs are designed to promote healthy living, social engagement, and active lifestyles for older adults in our community. The Uniontown YMCA offers a variety of wellness activities, fitness classes, educational opportunities, and social programs that encourage members to stay physically active and connected. These programs provide a supportive environment where seniors can build friendships, improve overall wellness, and enjoy meaningful experiences together.

Baby Swim Lessons

AQUATICS

The Uniontown YMCA Swim Lessons program helps children and adults build confidence, safety skills, and comfort in the water through structured instruction led by experienced instructors. Classes are available for a variety of age groups and skill levels, from beginners learning basic water safety to advanced swimmers improving technique and endurance. Our supportive environment encourages participants to develop lifelong swimming skills while having fun and staying active.

Our Aquatic Fitness Classes provide a low-impact, full-body workout that is perfect for participants of all ages and fitness levels. Exercising in the water helps improve strength, flexibility, balance, and cardiovascular health while reducing stress on joints and muscles. Led by energetic instructors, these classes create a fun and encouraging atmosphere where members can stay active and enjoy the benefits of aquatic exercise.

The Uniontown YMCA Swim Team offers young athletes the opportunity to develop competitive swimming skills while building confidence, discipline, and teamwork. Swimmers work with dedicated coaches to improve technique, endurance, and overall performance in a positive and supportive environment. Our program encourages personal growth both in and out of the pool while promoting sportsmanship, healthy competition, and lasting friendships.

Our Lifeguard Training program prepares participants with the skills and knowledge needed to respond confidently in emergency situations while ensuring the safety of swimmers and aquatic guests. Through hands-on instruction and certification training, participants learn water rescue techniques, emergency response procedures, and professional lifeguarding responsibilities. This program is ideal for individuals interested in leadership, safety, and employment opportunities in aquatic environments.

Red Cross First Aid and CPR

LIFESAVING SKILLS

The Uniontown YMCA First Aid and CPR courses provide valuable lifesaving skills that can help individuals respond quickly and effectively during emergencies. Participants receive hands-on training in CPR techniques, first aid procedures, and emergency response practices taught by certified instructors. These courses are designed for community members, parents, coaches, and professionals who want to gain confidence and preparedness in critical situations.

PARTIES AT THE Y

Celebrate your little swimmer with a pool party! Accommodate up
to 20 children in a designated section of our pool. Children under 45 inches tall must be accompanied by an adult in the pool.

Member $225/ Potential Member-Community $250

It’s game time! Use half of our indoor gymnasium for
basketball, soccer or baseball party. Some equipment is provided, but you are welcomed to bring your own. Bring up to 25 of your best players for this party.

Member $175 / Potential Member-Community $200

For the child that wants to do both, this is a great option to cool off in the pool and play a few games. Get 30-minutes in the pool followed by 30-minutes in half the gymnasium for sports. This party is good for 20 children.

Member $200 / Potential Member-Community $225
