YOUTH BASKETBALL

Hours of Operation

Mon.-Thurs.: 5:00am – 9:30pm
Friday: 5:00am – 8:00pm
Saturday: 5:00am – 6:00pm
Sunday: 11:00am – 4:00pm
(October 1 through Memorial Day)
Closed: Good Friday, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day
Closed at Noon: Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve

We at the Uniontown Area YMCA take child safety very seriously. We have a Nationally certified and accredited Presidium Child Safety Guardian at our YMCA. We participate in an annual risk analysis to learn how we can keep our youth even safer. We have been certified in compliance with the YMCA national child safety standards. The name of every YMCA member nationally is run through the national sex offender registry every night. Anyone who shows up on the registry has their membership immediately and irrevocably terminated to ensure our children are safe.

In addition, all of our employees, not just our child care employees, have been fingerprinted and have completed federal and state background checks, including obtaining federal and state clearances and child abuse clearances. All employees have at least three hours of child abuse recognition and reporting training and testing, and our child care workers have more! Instructional Basketball

This developmental basketball program is designed for kids ages 4-7. The program helps kids develop basic basketball skills including dribbling, shooting, passing, and defense. By learning the basics of basketball, the kids can enjoy the sport by having fun and becoming better players. Kids leave the program confident and ready to join a team!

Program Fees:

Members: $40 Potential Members: $60

This program strives to develop player skills, teach respect, and help the players have fun
Grade Divisions:

Kindergarten to 2nd grade (co-ed)
3th to 4th grade (co-ed)
Girls 5th to 6th grade
Boys 5th to 6th grade
Girls 7th to 8th grade
Boys 7th to 8th grade

Program Fees:

Members: $30 Potential Members: $50
