Y Kids Learning Center… a State licensed Stars facility
Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday: 6:30 am to 6:00 pm

Children are like sponges—they watch and absorb knowledge, skills, and values from everything and everyone around them. At the Y, we believe the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for quality of life and future success. That’s why our child care, after school, Child Watch and Tween Room programs are staffed with people who understand the cognitive, physical, and social development of kids, the need children have to feel connected and supported in trying new things, and the caring and reinforcement parents and families need to help each other. At the Y, babies develop trust and security, preschoolers experience early literacy and learn about their world, and school-age kids make friends, learn new skills, and do their homework. Most importantly, children of all ages learn how to be their best selves. That makes for confident kids today, and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.

At the Uniontown Area YMCA we offer quality full-day and partial-day child care for infants through preschoolers, enabling parents and family members to go to work knowing their children are in safe, stimulating environments. With a focus on safety, health, social growth, and academic enhancement, our Y afterschool programs serve kindergartners through middle schoolers with a variety of programmatic and activity options to explore and develop their interests and talents.

Infant/Toddler Care

Our program offers safe and friendly care for infants starting as early as 6 weeks to 2 years of age. A low infant to caregiver ratio ensures you can return to work with your infant in good hands with plenty of attention and stimulation.

Play School (age 2)

Our play school program emphasizes social interaction, fine and gross motor skills, science and nature activities, cultural and art activities, and outdoor play. We encourage the development of a positive attitude toward peers, adults, and teachers. Breakfast and snacks are provided. Parents or guardians send a lunch with children.

Pre-school (ages 3-5)

Our pre-school program offers your child a chance to grow and learn in time for their transition to kindergarten. The teachers provide a nurturing and caring environment to help your child develop. We offer math, science, art, fine and gross motor activities, and beginning phonics. We also have culinary days, guest readers, holiday class parties, an annual visit from Santa, and much more! Breakfast and snacks are provided. Parents or guardians send a lunch with children.

After- School Care( ages K-6th grade)

After-school care is a school based, licensed child care program for children 5-12 years of age. Daily activities include: homework help, snacks, crafts, indoor/outdoor games, board games, puzzles, and much more. Students in the after-school program are also eligible for care during snow days/early release days for a wrap-around fee of $25.00 a day.

Registration Fee for all age groups (Non-refundable): $25.00
