Registration for summer swim session 2 is now open! The 8-week progressive swim classes will be either Tuesday or Thursday from 10-11:30 AM. The class schedule will be as follows:

10-10:30 Swim Basics 1 (polliwog) & Swim Strokes 4 (minnow)
10:30-11 Swim Basics 2/3 (guppy) & Swim Strokes 4 (eel/ray)
11-11:30 Swim Basics 1 (Pike) & Swim Strokes 5/6 (fish/flying fish)

These classes begin the week of June 10th. Reserve your spot by visiting the YMCA’s Welcome Center to register. We can’t wait to see you!!

Moving For Better Balance is a 12-week, evidence based, group exercise program based on the principles of Tai Chi and designed especially for falls prevention. The program works to improve balance, muscle strength, flexibility, and mobility to enhance overall physical health. Participation in the program may also result in better mental health, reduced stress, improved memory and cognition, and increased self-esteem. Other evidence based, tai chi programs are coming to the YMCA in 2019, aimed at falls prevention and arthritis prevention and management. New cohorts of Moving for Better Balance begin several times per year. Participation in the initial 12-week cohort is free to everyone in the community. Starting with a participant’s second cohort, Moving for Better Balance is always free to members. Potential YMCA members may participate in additional cohorts for a fee of $120 per 12-week session.
