Charitable Giving to the YMCA

The YMCA is the leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community by empowering young people, improving the health and well-being of people of all ages and inspiring action in and across communities. Our mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Guided by our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, the Y is dedicated to giving people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life the opportunity to reach their full potential with dignity.

Our annual Y Week of Giving is held the first full week in May! During this week, we will highlight our programs, donors and other positive events that go on at our YMCA. This year’s dates are May 5-9, 2025.

Fayette Gives is an annual day of giving held in November hosted by the Community Foundation of Fayette County (CFFC). The goal is to build a stronger Fayette County for nonprofits in our community. Fayette Gives 2024 was our best year yet with a record breaking $30,305 in donations from 66 donors! We will share more information for FG25 as it becomes available.

HERITAGE CLUB

The Uniontown Area YMCA’s Heritage Club recognizes community members supporting the YMCA’s Endowment Fund with a one-time gift, planned gift, or future gift. This exclusive group is comprised of engaged neighbors ensuring the Y’s long-term sustainability through legacy giving, providing essential programming for future generations.

Why think about planned giving.

Regardless of age, considering planned giving options now allows you to provide peace of mind to loved ones in the future. Additionally, planned giving allows individuals to leave a legacy of support for charitable causes and organizations that are important to you. Planned gifts can also be an impactful way to honor a loved one’s interests, life work or memory.

How to become a member.

If you are considering the Uniontown Area YMCA in your estate plans for a legacy gift or if you have included the YMCA in your plans, we would love to know and include you in the Heritage Club.

If you have other questions or need more information, please email Casey at caseyd@uniontownymca.org.
