The Uniontown YMCA Christian Emphasis Committee(CEC) is made of members of the YMCA who have a heart to pray for others. We love and treasure Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and want to glorify Him in all our words, actions, and heart. We believe in:

CARING – Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and love (care for) your neighbor as yourself. Luke 10:27

HONESTY – Better to be poor and HONEST than rich and dishonest. Proverbs 19:1

RESPECT – Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets. Matthew 7:12

RESPONSIBILITY – Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we are each responsible for our own conduct.  Galatians 6:4-5

FAITH – And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Hebrews 11:6

Yvonica Melvin (CEC Member) “Does prayer have to be visible? No. Prayer is sincerely coming to the Lord and humbling yourself before Him. If you step foot in the Uniontown Area YMCA, please know that you have been and will be lifted up in prayer.”

John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
