Progressive Group Classes
Group classes are available for children ages 6 months to 12 years old. Children ages 6 months to 3 years can enroll in a parent and child swim class where children ages 3-12 can enroll in the progressive group classes. The preschool swim classes are for children ages 3-6, and school age classes are for children ages 6-12. There are four progressive stages for the preschool and school age groups.

Swim lesson sessions run on a monthly basis, guaranteeing a minimum of four classes each month. YMCA members get priority registration whereas community members can register the first of each month. Progressive class fees are $28 for YMCA members and $50 for community members.
Private Swim Lessons
Private swim lessons are available based on instructor availability. An inquiring does not guarantee that an instructor will be available. All inquiries should email to the Aquatic Director (caseyd@uniontownymca) and include child’s name, age, current swimming abilities and any other information that an instructor would need to know.

- 4 Lesson Package
- 6 Lesson Package (*Private Lesson Only)
*Private lessons are for ages 5 and older. Payment must be made before first lesson.
Private (1 swimmer & 1 instructor)
Single – $30 Member, $40 Community Member
4 Lesson Package – $100 YMCA Member, $140 Community Member
6 Lesson Package – $140 YMCA Member, $190 Community Member
Semi-Private (2 swimmers & 1 instructor)
Single – $20 YMCA Member, Community Member $25
4 Lesson Package – $70 YMCA Member, $90 Community Member
*Price is per child.
No show policy – There is a required two hours cancellation policy prior to a scheduled lesson. If you fail to notify the instructor/Uniontown Area YMCA that you are unable to attend the lesson within two hours of the scheduled time, you will lose that lesson.
